Since it’s arrival, Facebook has become one of the Denmark's as well as the world's busiest websites and naturally this followed into an argument if social networking site’s should be used as an advertising medium. Many are of the opinion that Facebook should not be used for traditional banner advertising, and instead one should focus more on the other aspects that Facebook has to offer.
In a way we agree that the Facebook's dynamics work better with Facebook Pages (see the Guide to Facebook Pages) or in development of websites / web services integrated with Facebook's platform (see blog post about Facebook Marketing). It does not mean that you should ignore Facebook as an advertising medium, because in our opinion, the ads are certainly as competitive as, other types of online advertising, such as Google AdWords.
What Facebook tools you need and at least how you should use them, depends largely on what you want to advertise. Since we spend a lot of our time working on the possibilities in this area, we decided to make a guide based on our experience. The guide is structured and suited to match the needs of advertisers; each heading represents one of these needs, following a detailed construction of the Facebook ad tools that should be focused on. This insight provides tools that if used will lead to the achievement of maximum impact.
In this context we aim to highlight Facebook as a very powerful advertising media, and furthermore giving you an overview of where you need help from third parties in connection with Facebook advertising.
