Paradise Hotel is one of the most popular reality shows on TV3 in Denmark, where a group of single people live in a luxurious hotel resort, competing to see who can stay in the hotel the longest. TV3 decided to bring the show even closer to the public by letting people be virtually part of it on social media.
TV3’s main social network channel was Facebook and their main goal was to create engaging content and make people interact.
In order to reach their goal, TV3 developed a strategic communications plan and trusted Komfo to help them implement it successfully. From Monday to Thursday they made at least 2 posts per day on relevant topics around the show stars; news from behind the scene as well as info on relevant events. Every evening there was one more post during the show in order to engage the audience in real time and encourage a conversation on the current episode. Those posts activated the community’s interactions and kept the conversation alive even during the weekends.
But how did Komfo help the creative social media team of TV3? The Komfo social media marketing suite optimized their community management and provided relevant and useful real time info on the results from the activities. The TV3 team could easily organize all the hundreds of incoming posts and comments from fans into one single “social inbox” and thus make sure they answered in timely manner and did not miss a single piece of content. Thanks to Komfo TV3 also received valuable information on how they performed on social media plus tips and insights for improvement and further development. Measuring ROI has never been easier for TV3!
TV3’s consistent approach and interesting content paid off in a very good way. Their fan base increased with more than 300% for one year and by mid-2013 the show had 79.000 fans and a monthly Facebook reach at more than 1.000.000 unique users. That generated averagely 17.000.000 website views per month. Congrats to the team!
